There’s no better way to get close to all the colorful reef fish than exploring with a mask & snorkel. You’re sure to see a variety of starfish, corals, sea anemones, clown fish, and more…

Hermit Beach is a secluded beach on the tip of Doljo Point. It’s one of the best spots to catch the sunset on Panglao Island, and also offers some of the best snorkeling in the area. It takes approximately 20-30 minutes to paddle to Hermit Beach from Hangtime Kite School.

Paddling through the serene mangrove forests is an amazing experience. The water on the back side of the island is glassy and clear making the mangroves an excellent place to view the sky and sunset. They are also a great place for bird watching. First you will paddle from Hangtime Kite School to Hermit Beach, which takes approximately 20-30 minutes. After taking a break for some photos, you will glide the rest of the way through the mangroves. You will end up on the opposite side of the Doljo peninsula, just a short walk back to Hangtime Kite School and The Bellevue Resort.

When there is no wind, there’s no easier way to get out on the water than with a stand up paddle board. Bring along a snorkel and mask so you can dive in and see the all the marine life swimming below.
